In 1998, O&H Land acquired circa 12,000 acres of disused brownfield land across the UK with a vision to bring forward sustainable, well designed, community led development.
It has always been important to O&H that existing communities benefit from the new communities growing alongside them. Working in collaboration with local councils, community groups and businesses, O&H was able to obtain planning permission and provide upfront investment in the land to bring it to a suitable standard for development. The results are there for everyone to see - established communities that provide a wide range of uses, including schools, places of work, shopping centres, health facilities, open space and award-winning nature conservation areas. The core principles that underpin everything we do - creating sustainable, community-led developments - still remain unchanged from 1998.
